Dear Artist

Re: ISEA2009, the 15th International Symposium on Electronic Art (2009)

The International Programming Committee of ISEA2009, the 15th International Symposium on Electronic Art (2009) have now reviewed all artwork and creative proposals and I am pleased to inform you that your proposal has been short-listed. The ISEA2009 conference juried exhibitions and associated events will take place across Northern Ireland in Belfast, Derry, Coleraine and Portadown with further events in Dublin and Dundalk from 23 August to 1st of September. The conference main hub will be held at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast from 26th to 29th of August 2009, and the juried exhibitions held at the Ormeau Baths Gallery and Golden Thread Gallery both located in the heart of Belfast City. The placement of their work will be at the discretion of the curator and the venue.

The IPC now require more detailed information about your proposal and practice.

We require

Installation requirements (isolated space? Public space? Dark space?) equipment requirements, note that specialized equipment and computers must be provided by the artist, and you will need to say if there is any specific technical support necessary (internet connection, persons to activate the work, a personal assistant or any organizational support, etc).

What we need to determine, is what will it take to present the work.

How long will it take you to install the work? Has it been installed before or is it new work?

Do they need to be present to install the work, or can you send detailed instructions?

You can send additional information and materials that support your application. Please note that this material will not be returned, but we are delighted to announce that it will archived at the INTERFACE, research centre archive and this will be available to national and international researchers working in the field. This information should be sent as text or disk format to Dr Cherie Driver, ISEA2009, School of Art and Design, York Street, Belfast, Northern Ireland BT15 1ED, material under 5mb can be sent by email to c.driver@ulster.ac.uk Please ensure your submission has the attached form complete and enclosed.
